introduction

The seminar is designed and suitable for all persons who already work in projects and would like to acquire comprehensive knowledge in project management and for those who would like to prepare for upcoming project work, equally. The goal is to create a common understanding of project work among project managers and project team members.

Due to globalisation, the development of our society has become more dynamic. The consequences are worldwide competition and shorter product life cycles. This is accompanied by a change on all levels of our coexistence. This process is most evident in technological change, which has already drastically altered our working world and will continue to do so. The tasks are becoming more complex and at the same time should be implemented more quickly.

A common understanding of project management among all employees involved in the process and the willingness to work on an interdisciplinary basis can provide a decisive competitive advantage. This project management seminar prepares you for a changed way of working. You will get to know possibilities and methods to work in different projects across departments and, depending on the requirements, to take on a different role in the project team. Using case studies and practical examples, the requirements for the entire project team are worked out. You will learn how to apply project management methods and tools. You will develop an understanding of why experienced project managers also see project management as a form of risk management.
