DIN ISO 21001 is an international standard specifically developed for educational organizations. It defines requirements for a management system aimed at improving educational processes, increasing learner satisfaction, and enhancing the effectiveness of teaching and learning offerings. The focus is on aligning with the needs and abilities of learners, with the goal of enabling inclusive, accessible, and equitable education. The standard requires educational institutions to have a clear strategic direction, responsible leadership, the involvement of all relevant stakeholders, and transparent and effective communication and feedback processes. It also includes requirements for staff qualifications, the design of suitable learning environments, and the systematic management of resources and processes. A key element is the continuous improvement of all educational processes based on measurable learning outcomes.
